Students in grades 3 through 6 will have an opportunity to learn and tell a story that has been approved by their teacher-librarian and classroom teacher. The first part of the program is a classroom competition. Winners will next compete at the building level/grade level. The building/grade level winners will meet for a district storytelling festival at the G. Ray Bodley High School Auditorium. Storytelling Dates and Information

  • Classroom competition begins the week of May 14th. All students will compete in grades 3 through 6

  • Grade level competition will take place in the library on May 22nd and May 24th The classroom winners will compete.

  • The District Festival will be held on Wednesday, May 30th and will be held at The Education Center on 4th Street. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. The grade level winners will present his/her story at the district level and at an assemly in school on Friday June 1st
